Um, yeah, so there's a story behind this one. I was happily working on OTHER FICS when I got an email review. In Gmail, the original post shows up with the comment at the end. Requiring you to scroll through the post to get to the comment. The comment was on Punishment Part Three, which I skimmed a bit as I scrolled. I read the lovely comment (thank you ldydark1 ) and then scrolled back up to read a bit of the fic.

Which made me wonder what happened next, because I started it months ago and then got stuck. So I opened the Word Doc and started reading the unfinished Part Four. And when I got to the end I started typing. Until I finished it.

So, the moral of the story is, even if a story is OLD, feel free to comment, because you might cause the author's brain to explode. *happy dance*

It occurred to me that while I couldn't rec any hd_holidays fics to avoid the appearance of favoritism, I CAN rec the one written for ME!!! The other mods were evil and refused to let me read it until it was posted the the comm. *pouty face* Even though I know who wrote it, I can tell you the author knows what I like and did an awesome job. I only wish it was LONGER. It really needs to be longer! The plotline is incredible and OMG I love twisty plots and amazing new spells. This one contains a fabulous plot twist and the author has semi-promised to write more in this world, so please give her heaps and heaps of praise and beg her to do so after the reveals. The fic is The Momentum of Volition and it's only 5k. (Needs to be longer. Tell her.) :D

I thought about doing a recap of 2009 post or a Here Is What I Wrote in 2009 post, but then I thought ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  Either one would take 20 pages.  My fics are scattered all over the damn internet.  Some are on Twitter, some are on Dreamwidth, some are on fanfiction.net and some are half-written emails.  I are organized.  (not)

My New Year celebration was non-epic, which is not surprising in the least.  "Happy New Year, Dyson!" I said.  "Yeah, whatever, shut up and go to sleep," I replied.  Apparently, I'm not very nice when I'm sleepy. 

But, 2010!   WOOT!  I am ready!  I need a calendar to hang on my wall!  Why do I never think of that until after the year starts?  They'll be on sale by my birthday, right?

I HOPE LIVEJOURNAL GETS THE DAMNED RICH TEXT POSTING FIXED SOON BECAUSE I HATE THIS HTML SHIT.  Of course, I just post a private entry to Dreamwidth using the Rich Text that STILL WORKS OVER THERE and then copy the coding to LJ.  *is still Slytherin fuck yeah*

I had planned to do about ninetybillion things in December, but then December WAS GONE so I feel utterly behind and irritated that only 1/3 of it got done.  I still have Christmas gifts sitting here.  People tend to get those in March from me.  I'd polish my procrastinators badge, but I can't remember where I put it.

OMG hd_holidays is OVER.  *sobs*  The reveals will be going up soon, but I can only say it was epically awesome and really amazing to be involved behind the scenes.  My co-mods deserve much praise, because I feel I didn't do much of anything but read fic and post an occasional entry.  And wasn't the fic and art simply mind-blowing this year?  Fuck me, but I do love this fandom.

I only have three resolutions this year.  I sort of suck at those, anyway, because recently I said, "I resolve to sign up for no new fests" and then four hours later I signed up to pinch-hit.  *facepalm*  

So yeah, my resolutions:
1) Have more sex
2) Eat cheesecake
3) Avoid jail

I feel confident that I can fulfill at least one of those.  Mmmmmm, cheesecake.  I think I'm done pointlessly babbling today.  LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!!!

OMG my poor boys! I am two weeks behind! I shall have to catch up somehow. *pets them*
